Why does levi save armin and not erwin?

In the end, Levi chooses to save Armin over Erwin. This is decided because of a myriad of reasons. But, the basis that Armin has to turn into a titan is so that he can eat Bertolt and revert back to a healthy human.

He didn’t believe the Scouts had the right to drag Erwin back into the world after he finally had the opportunity to rest. He explains to Armin that Mikasa and Eren rebelled against him, originally choosing to give the titan serum to Erwin.

So, why did Levi choose Armin over Erwin?

But it also wasn’t because Levi thought Armin would be a better choice than Erwin in their fight to protect humanity that made him pick Armin over the experienced commander. There is, after all, no certainty that Erwin would stop fighting for humanity after knowing the truth in the basement.

Erwin didn’t actually stop Levi from injecting him on purpose, he pushed the syrup away unconsciously in a dream where he recalled himself back into childhood, raising hand to ask his father question. This partly triggered Levi to choose Armin, because it reminded Levi how miserable and lost Erwin would be if he learned the truth of the world.

If he would choose Erwin, Erwin would prioritize his dreams rather than their goal of saving humanity. And then he later says he chose Armin because they pushed Erwin to be a demon.

At the core of Levi’s choice, deep down, are his emotions and love for his friend Erwin. In the aftermath of Erwin’s tragic suicide charge, and right before Levi was hesitantly about to use the syringe on a dying Armin, Floch shows up carrying the comatose body of Erwin.

What is the relationship between Armin and Levi?

It was Erwin who entrusted Levi with the syringe containing the Titan serum, and when the moment came to choose who to use it on, Levi realized Erwin no longer had any more ambitions to lead the scout regiment after he found out the truth from the basement. Armin, on the other hand, still holds ambitions beyond the basement’s answers.

While I was reading we ran into the query “What does Levi learn from Armin’s story?”.

After hearing Armin’s story, Levi understood that Armin’s dreams were far more longer, if it is the correct word- than Erwin’s. Armin, even after seeing the ocean would continue to move forward, but Erwin will not.

Would Armin have lived up to his potential?

There is no guarantee that Armin would live up to his own potential.

You see, well, since Eren and Armin are Titans, they can only live for about 13 years before dying, due to the Curse of Ymir. Eren, in particular, has a high chance of dying, since the powers of the Founding Titan (to control Titans and humans) is wasted on him.

Is Armin Dead Season 3?

That’s right, the image of Armin’s charred corpse was hidden so deep in the Attack on Titan season 3 part 2 opening credits that you can still entirely miss it while doing the usual pause/play frame-by-frame examinations of the footage.

When does Armin become a Titan?

Don’t wait until its too late! Armin first became a pure titan in chapter 84 after getting severely burnt by Bertolt’s Colossus Titan which to save his life Eren manages to get Levi to inject him with the titan serum: and in the anime, he became a pure titan in season 3 episode 18.
