Tanjiro became a demon at some point in the series. This happened in Chapter 201 of the manga, which is near the end of the series. Tanjiro’s transformation into a demon occurred right after the battle against Muzan.
In the latest episode 10 of the Demon Slayer Entertainment District Arc, Gyutaro asks Tanjiro to become a demon like him. Gyutaro tells Tanjiro that he can protect his younger sister by becoming a demon, and they both will become friends.
This begs the question “Why does Tanjiro turn into a demon?”
Tanjiro conquers the sun in seconds and turns into a perfect demon on whom even sunlight has no effect. When he lost his self and was going bersek nezuko and others help him not lose his self and he becomes like nezuko who conquered sun and a demon which never devours humans. But thanks to dead tamayo’s medicine in the end he turns to a human.
Does Tanjiro die in Demon Slayer?
Tanjiro actually died in Demon Slayer. It was also confirmed during the post-timeskip events of the series that Tanjiro has already deceased. His death was also confirmed during the aftermath of the final battle when his pulse was checked by some of the surviving members of the Hashira.
Tanjiro turns into a demon because of Muzan’s blood inside him. The survivors try to survive against him and in a sacrificial move, Kanao used her remaining eye to activate Scarlet Spider Lily Eyes. Her enhanced speed allowed her to inject the demon antidote and return him to being human.
Did Tanjiro become a hashira?
While the journey he embarked upon was tough, he did reach his goal! Tanjiro Kamado does not become a hashira / pillar of the Demon Slayer corps. In the final chapter of the manga, he defeats the Demon King, Kibutsuji Muzan thereby eliminating all the demons, and in extension eliminates the need for Demon Slayer corps and Hashiras altogether.
Yoriichi probably has more combat experience, but tanjiro is much stronger. His strength comes from being born with the devil contract mark on his hand, allowing him to have demonic strength. Yoriichi’s strength comes from training, which he likely had after becoming a captain of squad two.
Did Tanjiro kill Muzan kibutsuji?
Tanjiro actually died in the series when they fought Muzan Kitbutsuji. Before Tanjiro died, Muzan was also able to kill most of the Hashira members. However, Tanjiro’s death also became the catalyst for his eventual revival during the aftermath of the Final Battle.
