As the inventor of Insect Breathing, Shinobu is one of the most capable Demon Slayers in existence. Despite this, she is very physically weak. According to the Kimetsu no Yaiba Wiki, Shinobu developed Insect Breathing after discovering she does not have the physical strength to slice off a demon’s head with her katana.
Long story short, Shinobu is killed and devoured by Doma, in the same manner as a lot of Doma’s victims. In her case, though, it was actually a form of sacrifice, as her poisoned body eventually weakened Doma so much that he was successfully killed by Kanao and Inosuke.
Does Shinobu die Demon Slayer?
