Shinobu Kocho is also the younger sister of Kanae Kocho along with her adoptive younger sister Kanao Tsuyuri. After a demon killed her parents, Shinobu joined the Demon Slayer Corps along with her sister in order to protect others from suffering the same fate as her.

But Shinobu is still shown to trust her sister deeply and support her sister’s decision despite not initial agreeing with her at first, as seen when the two adopted and made off with their adoptive little sister Kanao Tsuyuri .
What is Shinobu’s past like?
Like most of the demon slayers, Shinobu also have a harsh past, at first, she was really happy she had everything she thought the happiness will last forever but one day her parents were killed by a demon and just as the demon was about to kill her and her sister Kocho Kanae the strongest hashira Himejima Gyomei saves them.
This begs the inquiry “Does Shinobu die Demon Slayer?”
Shinobu Kochō does indeed die in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. Her death happens during the Infinity Castle arc, in Chapter 143 of the manga, when she is killed by Doma; she actually ends up sacrificing herself. Her death has not occurred in the anime yet.
