Yes and no. He temporarily dies at the end of the final battle, but Muzan brings him back as a demon. Kanao then uses the last of Tamayo’s medicine to turn him back to normal.
After the battle against Muzan, Tanjiro becomes a demon. In order to turn him into a human again, Kanao uses the final form of the Flower breathing to dodge Tanjiro’s attacks and being able to inject him the cure.
What happened to Kanao in Demon Slayer?
During the battle against Muzan Kibutsuji, Kanao is left as the only conscious Demon Slayer left and tries to will herself to continue fighting. As Muzan is about to deliver the final blow, Tanjiro momentarily immobilizes Muzan and manages to carry Kanao to safety.
What does Kanao from Demon Slayer look like?
She has a straight fringe and two loose, chin-length strands that curve downwards from above each of her ears. Kanao wears a slightly purple-tinted version of the standard Demon Slayer uniform, just with a knee-length pleated skirt in place of the usual hakama pants.
