The finale rubbed some the wrong way, whether it was because of the clumsy political implications, the unanswered questions, or unsatisfactory character arcs. While not the worst conclusion ever, Attack On Titan’s ending will surely inspire debates for years on end, but not for the expected reasons. Warning: Colossal spoilers ahead.
Despite the characters’ camaraderie, determination, and sacrifices, Attack On Titan’s closing message is ironically pessimistic. Here, war and hatred are inevitable, and people should anticipate it at every turn. While these obviously exist in the real world, they’re things that no one can fix overnight.
Our answer is that this is troublesome. It’s okay to not like an anime or the season of an anime. For example, A LOT of people hated the seasons of tokyo ghoul after its first season and that’s understandable. However, for attack on titan, it was by popular demand that season 4 would be made. This is troublesome because after WIT studios decided to not work on AOT anymore (for understandable reasons), other studios felt quite the same way and refused to work on the final season. Luckily for us, MAPA.
Why attack on Titan is the best show?
The most important reason of Attack on Titan success is that it stays true to its manga by perfect japanese manga artist, Hajime Isayama and when you have such a great manga artist with you you don’t need to go out of your way to add or modify the existing story. The heroes don’t always win.
While reading we ran into the question “Why did attack on Titan Season 2 take so long?”.
One source stated that the studio that is adapting it., ao T is made by Wit Studio, which is very small (34 employees according to Wikipedia). They only release one anime per year on average, so the production time is longer. It also means they might need to outsource some of the animation, which can add time to the schedule as well.
