Anime for just about anyone, of any age, and great for the whole family from little Junior to your great-great whomever. I’m going to start with Spirited Away. But in all honesty, any Ghibli movie (besides maybe Grave of the Fireflies) is a safe bet. I chose Spirited Away in particular because its universe never ceases to.
But what happens in between the meaningful themes and plot, is Ecchi, lewd things the characters get up to. Mostly the girls (there’s only 1 guy). The foul language in this anime is almost comparable to Black Lagoon, so that’s another reason to not watch with parents.
Best anime for Kids age 8 – 14Dragon Ball Z. Dragon Ball Z is a fighting Anime so some parents may consider it too violent for their extremely young or overly protected children. My children love this one and so does my son’s 1/2 sister. Naruto, my older son loves this show blood lad, air gear, blue exorcist, sword of the stranger, soul eater, dragon ball, or karneval too could be usefull too.
This of course begs the query “Should children be allowed to watch anime?”
Yes they can watch anime that are aimed to them! It should be allowed ; however, it is the responsibility of the parent to let their children watch what is appropriate for them. Not all anime are aimed for children, so before you let your children watch anime, find out first if they can watch it, by watching first, reading the reviews or ratings.

What are the rules of watching anime?
There are only two rules: 1. They have to be less popular than the Anime named above (which I cannot always be certain of). I had to watch the entire series without hesitation after the first episode. The important factor is fun and engagement. Genre, intended age, stile: does not matter.
Trying to defend yourself while talking about watching anime is already a tough task, but if you are a fan of any of these anime, life gets much much harder. They are either incredibly silly, bizarre, overly racy, or just plain dumb. Sometimes one show can be all of those things!
